As the Senior Product Manager for SuctionShield by PSCMed, I’ve worked on many varied projects for a small start-up medical environment. Most prominent of my projects is the redesign of their website. I convinced the Chief Operations Officer to move from a WordPress website setting handled by a web design firm to an account with SquareSpace. Additionally, moving their website to a 3rd party vendor where their sole business is websites has the added benefit of keeping their site on the forefront of technical changes for web usage. It allowed the small team full access to their website without a design firm middleman. This move gave them the ability to update and make changes in real time as they needed. With the reduction in fees to the website design firm for every update, I saved PSCMed $10k in fees by moving and redesigning the website.
Redesign of the PSCMed website to focus on their main product, SuctionShield. Clean homepage, using the products branding, font, color, and iconography.
Updating the nav bar location to the top of the page with a consistent presence at the top of the website whether on a desktop or a mobile device updated the PSCMed website to the present day.
Organizing the different subsections of the website for user ease and logical progression for exploration of product.
Organized usage of photography to communicate in a 2 second time span on the product and how it can help a medical facility.
The website is viewable on a mobile device. Previous to the change in website vendors, the PSCMed website was not viewable on a mobile device. This reduced their website viewership by 80%. Unlike a desktop device, a mobile phone is accessible at all times to the medical field for their convenience.
